I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote next month's bout.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
