Despite entering their maiden European adventure, Crystal Palace are learning very quickly. Without star players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a commanding result that all but guarantees them a place in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
Another three points in their upcoming fixture against Finnish KuPS should be enough to secure straight entry to the knockout stages, particularly after a prior stumble against Strasbourg.

This occasion offered a chance for several Palace's lesser-used players to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning after arriving on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a well-taken goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second consecutive match.

The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also missed a glaring chance, showing there is still scope for development in his game.
A solitary concern for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect night for the traveling side.
